Education & Training

I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. After graduation, I completed the 3,000 hours of clinical training required to become licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

 

Post licensure, I pursued four years of further study and earned certificates in Infant, Child, and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies and the New Center for Psychoanalysis. Presently, I participate in weekly professional development to sharpen my skills and stay abreast of new developments in the field.

I am certified in the Reflective Parenting Program which helps parents identify how their emotions may influence how they react to their children. I am trained to work collaboratively with parents to better understand their child, so  they can develop child-affirming parenting skills.
